Knit and Kvetch
Knit and Kvetch, a committee of Beth Sholom B’nai Israel’s Sisterhood, knits and crochets winter scarves, hats and afghan blankets to donate to local charities to help keep people in need warm for the winter. On November 8, the group has its annual meeting to collect the year’s work of their members and decide how to divide up the fruits of their labor for distribution. Last year Knit and Kvetch produced 350 items to donate. The fruit of their labor will be donated to the Tri-Town Shelter in Vernon, Bidwell Care Center in Manchester, Visiting Nurses and Health Services (Hospice) in Vernon, Hockanum Valley Community Council, Manchester DCF and others.
If you would like to donate yarn or money to Knit and Kvetch, please drop your donation off at Beth Sholom B’nai Israel’s office at 400 Middle Turnpike East, Manchester or contact: Anne Fink
