Manchester author pits Jack the Ripper against Wyatt Earp

By Journal Inquirer Staff
Manchester resident Steve Leshin has recently penned a historical fiction book "Vengeance of the Ripper" published by Lulu Press. The book offers new theories about the identity of Jack the Ripper, information about Wyatt Earp, the royal family, and President Theodore Roosevelt. The novel takes place in 1908, 20 years after Jack the Ripper's reign of terror in London. The Ripper, one of the earliest known serial killers, shows up in Los Angeles and begins another reign of terror.
In the span of a few nights, ladies of the night are brutally murdered. As events unfold, former lawman Wyatt Earp, and his wife, Josephine, living in the city, becomes a target of the killer as well. Wyatt, assisted by old west friend Bat Masterson, race against time to try and stop Jack the Ripper. The hunt for the Ripper reveals a conspiracy involving an international arms dealer, the crown jewels, and President Theodore Roosevelt.
Leshin researched the background for his novel and found some interesting facts. Earp, the subject of countless books, movies, and a popular TV show in the 1950s, settled in Los Angeles at the time of the novel and lived there until his death at age 81 in 1929. Under Theodore Roosevelt's presidency, the FBI was formed, and the true identity of Jack the Ripper was never revealed. For more information, visit: www.amazon.com

From the website called "Authorsden" :

Growing up I have always been a student of history. In college I became a history major and an avid reader. My favorite authors include historians like Doris Kearns Goodwin, and popular fiction writers like Robert B.Parker, and Clive Cussler. I also pursued a professional cartooning career for a time and was able to have a good number of my cartoons and illustrations published in trade magazines and books. My interest in historical figures led me to write my first novel, Vengeance of the Ripper published by Lulu Press and available for sale on Amazon.com. My book pits Jack the Ripper against old west legend, Wyatt Earp. The action takes place in Los Angeles, California in the year 1908, twenty years after his murderous rampage in London. I am working on another novel combining my love of history with adventure.
