The Hebrew High School

Join 8th-12th graders each Tuesday night from 7:00 - 9:00 PM as we learn together at Hebrew High School!  During the night, we provide a snack during our break.  This is a way to also catch up with your friends that you probably don’t see during the day!  As part of our belief in the importance of informal educational programs, RLWRS High offers a number of events that go beyond the classroom walls.

Beth Sholom B'nai Israel's RLWRS Hebrew High School seeks to inspire our teens to lead their lives as identified, committed Jews with a thirst for lifelong Jewish learning. BSBI offers a program for Jewish learning geared towards our teens where we educate them about Jewish traditions, rituals, ethics and issues which  confront Jewish teenagers and their families.

In past years at Hebrew High School, some of the topics we covered were:

Choices and Challenges: Living as a Jewish Teen Today:

   - Why do we have to be different?

   - Why are Laws so Important in Judaism?

   - How Does Observing Ritual Laws Make My Life Much Better?

   - The Challenges of Faith and Love

   - Where Do We Go From Here?

   - Becoming More Observant - Common Questions and Concerns

Plus…  Different Holidays through discussions, projects and even in the kitchen - Movie Nights - Hot Topics Jewish Value of Humility - Intervening to stop a wrong - The Tribe: Jewish Identity Sushi - How I roll my own Judaism - Confirmation & Graduation - learning with Rabbi Plavin - and much more!!

We create a connection with other organizations within the synagogue, participating in educational programs with Sisterhood, Brotherhood and Hadassah.
