 Rabbi Hersh is the director of Ramah Day Camp in Nyack where he has worked since 2000. He also is part of the rabbinic team at the Orangetown Jewish Center. Ami, an alum of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship, was ordained at JTS in May 2012 and also received an MA in Jewish education from the Davidson School of Jewish Education in 2013. A graduate of the University of Hartford, he holds degrees in elementary education and Judaic studies. Prior to entering rabbinical school he taught at the Solomon Schechter of Greater Hartford. Originally from Providence, RI, he lives in Orangeburg, NY with his wife Loni and their four children (Micah, Zev, Noa, and Yael).
     Torah Fund raises money for scholarships and programming for rabbis, cantors, educators, administrators, lay-leaders and other leaders of the Jewish community, as well as for research, at the five Conservative/Masorti rabbinical schools around the world: Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in Los Angeles, Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Seminario Rabinico Latino Americano in Buenos Aires, and Zacharias Frankel College in Potsdam, Germany.
