Rabbi Richard Plavin Library

The Rabbi Richard Plavin Library has an extensive book collection. There is a plethora of subjects to choose from: Mysteries (murder and mayhem), Historical drama, Holiday Cook books, Biographies of famous Jewish personalities such as Harry Houdini, Theology, The Shoah, and Israel.

Some of the authors in our collection are Faye Kellerman, Daniel Silva, Herman Wouk, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Nora Ephron, and Mitch Albom.

The Children’s Library, located in the Silverstein Center, has an extensive selection of books, ranging from board books for toddlers, to novels for middle school students. The collection is divided by subject, so it’s easy to find
something for holidays, life cycle events, moral issues such as kindness or charity, or just stories with a Jewish flavor. You can also search the library collection by subject, as well as author and title, if you are looking for something on a specific topic.

The complete catalog is available on the library computer as a pdf file that lists the contents of our collection. This document is searchable from home by title and author (press “ctrl” and “f” keys on your keyboard, then type in the box that appears on the screen).
