On the first Friday of each month, we will pause to celebrate the Birthdays that will take place during the month. We will have a special birthday blessing for all who attend. We invite our birthday celebrants to join us and to invite their family and friends to join our Zoom service from wherever in the world they may be.

BSBI will be adding an outdoor component to our current Kabbalat Shabbat Zoom service for those who feel they can participate safely. 

Preregistration is required and will be capped at 25 groups for health and safety reasons. It will be held in the back parking lot with specific parking slots marked for seating with each family unit to sit in a marked slot.  Everyone who participates will be expected to bring their own chairs and Siddurim (if you need siddur please request the number needed in the "notes" section of registration).   

There will not be access to the building during this service (no bathroom facilities specifically).  There will be a limit of 25 family groups per service to assure safe seating and distancing for all participants.  This component of the Kabbalat Shabbat service will continue weekly until Rosh Hashanah. 

The outdoor component will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather (rain, etc.). 

We would expect all who participate in the outdoor component of the service to follow all safety recommendations regarding the current public health situation

• Masks covering the nose and mouth are required to be worn throughout the service and while on the grounds of the synagogue
• Limit social contact by keeping a minimum of six feet of distance among congregants 
• No lingering on the synagogue grounds for social reasons after the service 
• We encourage all members 65 years of age and older or with medical conditions that would make them of higher risk from exposure to the Coronavirus to take into account the risk of participating in any gathering of groups before registering for this program.
